The tournament opened up with 67 students performing meditation (Chinkon) which was conducted by Justin Nguyen and dabo by Lauren Pham followed by Kihon practice by Gaganjyot Arora. This experience to demonstrate in front of others what you have learned builds higher level of consciousness. Shorinji Kempo training is one of the best tools for building self-confidence. By training you can handle many things that come your way. There is no substitute for finding out first-hand what you are capable of accomplishing until you push yourself beyond your limit. Kudos goes to Tondo Sensei and Van Anh who flew in from Florida one day early to help set up for the tournament!!! Nicholas Pham who actively participated in the tournament and ran around taking all of the great pictures. Their genuineness to help sets a great example for others to follow. Well done!!!! Gassho!
